Why Choose Private One-on-One Lash Training?
Large group classes can make it difficult to receive individual help, especially when you are learning a detailed skill such as lash isolation, adhesive control and handmade volume fans.
This course is completely private. You will not be competing with other students for the trainer’s attention.
Your instruction can be adjusted to your pace, strengths and learning style. You will receive immediate feedback as you practice, allowing us to correct your technique before small mistakes become lasting habits.
You will be able to ask questions freely, repeat difficult techniques and spend additional time on the areas where you need the most support.
My goal is not simply to hand you a certificate. My goal is to help you understand safe lash application and leave class feeling prepared to continue practicing, improving and building your new career.
What Will I Learn During Arizona Lash Certification?
Arizona requires eyelash technician applicants to complete at least 30 hours through a Board-approved training program.
Your course includes 10 hours of preclinical theory and 20 hours of clinical, hands-on instruction.
Ten Hours of Theory Instruction
Your theoretical education includes:
- Structure and function of the eye
- Disorders of the eye and orbital areas
- Natural eyelash growth cycles
- Contraindications for lash services
- Allergic reactions and sensitivities
- Infection control and sanitation
- Health and safety procedures
- Eye-shape and natural-lash evaluation
- Lash product ingredients
- Arizona Board statutes and rules
Understanding these subjects is essential for protecting your clients, maintaining a sanitary workspace and knowing when a lash service should not be performed.
Twenty Hours of Clinical Instruction
Your clinical education includes:
- Conducting a professional client consultation
- Evaluating the natural lashes
- Creating a customized lash design
- Cleansing and preparing the eye area
- Performing a patch test
- Isolating the natural lashes
- Applying classic eyelash extensions
- Creating hybrid lash sets
- Creating handmade volume fans
- Applying volume eyelash extensions
- Using lash adhesive safely
- Removing eyelash extensions without damaging the natural lashes
- Practicing on a mannequin and live models
You will perform eyelash extensions on at least two live models during your certification course. Your models will attend on Days 3 and 4 so you can practice complete services while receiving hands-on guidance.
What Styles Can I Perform After Becoming Registered?
Your registration is not limited to one particular lash-extension style.
After successfully completing your training and receiving approval from the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board, you may legally offer eyelash extension services within the scope of an Arizona registered eyelash technician.
Your course prepares you to perform:
- Classic eyelash extensions
- Hybrid eyelash extensions
- Volume eyelash extensions
Once you have developed the appropriate skills, you may also expand into styles such as wispy, wet-look, mega-volume or textured lash sets.
Please remember that completing training does not automatically activate your registration. You must submit your application and wait until the Arizona Board approves it before accepting paying clients.
Do I Need Previous Lash or Beauty Experience?
No. This is a true beginner lash certification course.
You do not need to be a licensed aesthetician or cosmetologist to enroll. The Arizona Eyelash Technician Registration provides a path for eligible applicants to legally perform eyelash extensions without completing a full aesthetics or cosmetology program.
If you already hold an active Arizona aesthetics or cosmetology license, you may not need a separate eyelash technician registration. Contact the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board if you are unsure which credential applies to you.
How Do I Become a Registered Lash Technician in Arizona?
After you successfully complete all 30 hours of training, you will receive a provisional registration certificate verifying that you completed a Board-approved program.
You will then apply for your Eyelash Technician Registration through the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board.
I will help you organize and submit your information so you are not left trying to navigate the process alone.
Depending on your age and circumstances, the Board may require documentation that establishes your identity, age, education and lawful presence. Applicants should be prepared to provide:
- Their completed application
- Provisional registration certificate from the training program
- Acceptable identification or lawful-presence documentation
- A current 2-by-2-inch photo that meets the Board’s requirements
- Any age or educational documentation required for their application
- The applicable State Board registration fee
We can take your registration photo during class at no additional charge. The photo must show you from the shoulders up against a white background without filters.
Arizona law generally allows applicants to qualify by either being at least 18 years old or, for applicants who are at least 16, providing evidence of the required high-school education or its equivalent. Final eligibility and documentation requirements are determined by the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board.
How Long Does State Board Approval Take?
Processing times can vary. Many students receive a response within several business days, but approval is not guaranteed within a specific timeframe.
You may begin offering paid eyelash extension services only after the Arizona Barbering & Cosmetology Board has approved and issued your registration.
What Is Included in My Professional Lash Kit?
You will receive a fully loaded training kit containing the essential products and tools needed to begin practicing eyelash extensions.
Your kit includes enough initial product to perform services on as many as 50 clients, depending on the services performed and how the products are used.
After class, you may purchase additional professional lash products through Simply Lash and receive a student discount for life.
Will I Work on Real Models?
Yes. Live-model experience is an important part of your certification.
You will need to provide:
- One model for Day 3
- One model for Day 4
Each model should plan to remain at the training location for approximately three to four hours. Models should avoid caffeine before their appointment and arrive without eye makeup.
If you need help finding a model, please contact me as early as possible.
What Should I Bring to Lash Training?
Please bring:
- A notebook
- Water
- A sweater in case the building is chilly
- Your scheduled models on Days 3 and 4
- Any required registration documents discussed before class
All lash products, equipment and training materials will be provided.
The dress code is casual and comfortable. Please remember that photos and videos may be taken during training, particularly on the final certification day.
Do I Have to Attend All Four Days?
Yes. Attendance during all four training days is mandatory.
Arizona requires completion of the full 30-hour program. If you miss required training hours, you cannot receive your provisional registration certificate until those hours have been completed.
Please choose dates that you can fully commit to before booking.
What Happens If I Have an Emergency?
All deposits and course payments are nonrefundable.
If a genuine emergency prevents you from attending, your payment may be transferred to a future training date that works for both the student and trainer. Every reasonable effort will be made to help you reschedule and complete your certification.
Payments cannot be transferred to another person.
